On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture we analyze at the Thünen-Institute of Climate-Smart Agriculture all German agricultural soils in a 8x8 km grid. This is the basis for the German greenhouse gas reporting and quantification of emissions from the agricultural sector. For full description see and the team here.
I am responsible for the development of the first national soil spectral library using MIR spectroscopy and identify changes of soil organic matter as a relation of its quality and pyrogenic carbon.
